My Favorite Energy Bite Recipe
So I love protein balls/energy bites! If you don't know what they are, do a quick Pinterest search for them and you will find tons of different recipes on how to make them. There are so many different flavors including cinnamon vanilla, m&m, chocolate chip, cranberry almond, and more! My personal favorite is Peanut Butter Chocolate Energy Bites. They taste like a healthy Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
Here is the recipe I use:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2/3 cup peanut butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
2. Mix ingredients well.
3. Store mixture in refrigerator for 10 minutes. This makes it easier to roll it into balls.
4. Roll the mixture into 12-14 bite sized balls.
5. Store in container in refrigerator for up to one week.
6. Enjoy!
Tip: Add 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder to add some extra protein into your energy bites!
Like I said, there are so many ways to make protein balls and energy bites, but this is my personal favorite. What is your favorite type of protein balls? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
